NewsTheatrical dance class offered
Check out fall dance classes at Encore Dance Academy. Classes in ballet, tap, jazz, hip hop, modern/contemporary, belly dance, yoga and more begin right after Labor Day. Chris Morin will offer a Dance for Musical Theater class from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. Thursday evenings from September to December. This class is designed for anyone wanting more experience in theater dance. Each class will include warmups, traveling movement and short combinations from different musical shows. Enrollment begins in August, so contact Encore Dance Academy at 283-3140.

Marjorie O'Reilly Scholarship
Applications for the $500 Marjorie O'Reilly Fine Arts Scholarship are due May 6, 2011.
The Marjorie O'Reilly Scholarship is a one-time financial award that may be used toward the completion of a degree in Fine Arts (either performing or visual) at any accredited college in the United States.
Marj O’Reilly was a teacher, a lover of humanity, and one of the founders of Kenai Performers. Her dedication and support were instrumental in the success of many performances. Her own participation in community productions added joy and richness to the lives of many people. Her family has instituted this scholarship in her memory and Kenai Performers is proud to present this award in her honor along with our best wishes for our young artists’ success in the arts and in all that they do in life.
